Ankylosglossia – try wrapping your tongue round that one. Tongue Tie can have us in knots when it comes to feeding. Despite there being a lot of tongues wagging on the subject, often diagnosis is just out of reach, on the tip of our tongues so to speak.
We have our own experiences of tackling tongue tie but we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to tongue tie tales. So we are running a tongue tie take over in the month of May.
We want to hear from you on your experience; did your baby have a tongue tie? How was it diagnosed and when? By who? Was it treated? Did it have an impact on your breastfeeding? Boob or bottle, how did you manage it and do you have any tips for the tits or teats?
As ever we are looking for all stories, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Get involved in the following ways:
Pen Pal Posts- A light bite feeding feature of around 600 words that tells your tale.
Spotlight Sunday – Are you are aware of any services, campaigns, support networks, products with atongue tie focus that we can shine a light on by sharing on the mama grapevine.
Your Voice – Even if your tongue tie tit bit is only bite sized please get in touch via Your Voice, Facebook, Instagram or comment below. What may feel like small talk to you could have a big impact for another mama and her mini; giving them the trick or tool to take down tongue tie. We will collate all the tit bits and make one feature sharing them all.
